ADAPTIV Structure Solutions was tasked with a rooftop installation in San Francisco, California for the San Francisco
Museum of Modern Art Birthday Bash gala. This VIP dinner took place in a custom 20m x 5m x 4m structure with two 15m x 10m x 4m Monopitch tents built on the rooftop of the museum. The structures were climate controlled, had clear vinyl walls and were trimmed in black aluminum parts with custom graphics.
Steeldeck risers were incorporated to support the entertainment elements of the evening and pink carpet finished off the flooring. This VIP dinner had a seamless connection to the existing museum building allowing guests to flow between the dinner, the outdoor art installations and indoor museum showcase throughout the evening. This event took several months and multiple site visits to plan, seven days to install and three days to load out. The biggest challenge was craning in the tent elements to the roof of the building and construction around the art installations on the roof.
